Support groups create a safe, confidential, supportive environment or community and a chance for participants to develop informal mutual support and social relationships. They also educate and inform participants about dementia and help participants develop methods and skills to solve problems.
Are you a care partner facing the challenges of caring for a loved one with Down Syndrome who has been diagnosed with dementia?The Alzheimer's Association has partnered with the Down Syndrome Association ofCentral Ohio to provide care and support.If your loved one is 40 years of age or older,this group offers the opportunity to connect with others and receive support.
