The purpose of early-stage support groups is to provide a safe and supportive environment of peers who are living in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia and the care partners. These groups offer dementia-related education, emotional support and connections with resources so that the group members may enhance their lives in the midst of the disease.
The New to Dementia For People in the Early Stage of Alzheimer’s support group will be held VIRTUALLY every 4th Thursday of the month from 10:30 am - Noon. Pre-screen is required.Please call 24/7 helpline to get pre-screened and registered: 800.272.3900
Please note that this group is offered for people living with memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer's disease, or another dementia. If you are a care partner to someone in the early stage and do not have dementia yourself, please attend our New to Dementia Care Partner Group that meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. We ask that this space be reserved for only people with dementia so that they feel safe and secure, with others experiencing a journey similar to theirs.
