Support groups create a safe, confidential, supportive environment or community and a chance for participants to develop informal mutual support and social relationships. They also educate and inform participants about dementia and help participants develop methods and skills to solve problems.
Alzheimer's Association support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for people living with dementia and their care partners to:
* Develope a support system.
* Exchange practical information on challenges and possible solutions.
* Talk through issues and ways of coping.
* Share feelings, needs and concerns.
Joins us at the El Paso Memorial Branch Library location, every 3rd Tuesday of each month from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
